On Friday 3 June 2022, join our global lead Taeke Reijenga who will be facilitating a panel discussion “Acquisitions in WordPress” to discover more about some of the major changes and takeovers within the community over the past year.

The session includes a discussion from a panel of business owners who chose to sell their businesses to other companies during 2021:

• Marieke van de Rakt —  co-owner of Yoast SEO, acquired by Newfold Digital
• Devin Walker — co-Founder of GiveWP, acquired by Liquid Web
• Joshua Strebel — owner of Pagely, acquired by GoDaddy
• Shane Pearlman — owner of The Events Calendar and Modern Tribe, acquired by Liquid Web

We’ll be finding out more about their businesses, why they chose to sell, unexpected pitfalls during the sale – and what this means for their long-standing customers as the businesses change hands.

The discussion will take place at 17:00 in our Track 2 theatre on 3 June 2022 at WordCamp Europe.
