#WCEU Is Getting Closer and We Want You to Stay in the Loop 🎡

Today most of Europe celebrates International Workers’ Day, but we at WordCamp Europe are quite busy preparing everything for the European WordPress event of the year. Want to know what’s new with #WCEU? Then read on before you go to have some time off with your family and friends.

Ready. Set. Go! A New Batch of Tickets to Be Available Soon.

As you’re probably aware, we ran out of tickets. But no need to panic! We’ll soon release another batch. We recommend that this time you hurry to get your ticket because tickets sell out faster the closer we get to the event. We are confident that no one will stay in front of Sava Centar when the date arrives. Though, do tell your friends to wait for the release of the next batch in “low start”. 😉

Schedule Is Out. Start Your Planning.

So, you already have your ticket and are wondering what talks to listen to? Well, we have a great lineup of speakers and if you want to have a better overview of all the talks, go to our schedule page and star those you find especially interesting. But not only that. Make sure to check our amazing workshops schedule too – and register for workshops you like today (today is the last day to do so!). Keep in mind that some workshops are already sold out.

Register to Attend Contributor Day!

A few weeks back we opened registrations for WordCamp Europe Contributor Day. If this is your first time attending a Contributor Day we will guide you through the process, so nothing to worry about (stay tuned for more info about it!). One thing to note is that you need to have a valid #WCEU ticket before registering. If you already have a ticket (and we think you should!) you can head to the WCEU Contributor Day registration form.

Get Ready to Shine at Another Memorable #WCEU After Party

Do you have your space suit ready? If not, now’s a good time to consider getting one so that you feel at home at our after party. As with previous years, we will have an after party theme, and this year we decided to go with retro-futurism. Well, anything “spacey” will do fine. 🙂 So, if you’re into Back to the Future, 2001: A Space Odyssey, or even Star Wars – you’ll feel like the King or Queen of the universe (and our after party).

Remember to Say Hi to Our Sponsors

Every WordCamp needs sponsors, and WordCamp Europe is no different. We wish to thank our sponsors for supporting us and making WCEU as open to everyone as possible. But not only that. We encourage you to visit their booths, talk to them, ask them questions. Don’t be shy, go visit our sponsors and say hi! 😉

When in Belgrade…

You can find practical info about Belgrade (and the conference) on our info page. We published a lot of content including places to stay, how to get to Belgrade, where to work, and information about what to do in Belgrade and Serbia. Additionally, check out our “Discover Belgrade” series to learn about things like Serbian traditions, the best places for families in Belgrade, Serbian cuisine, and where to go out after a full day of talks and workshops.

Travelling With Kids? Sign up for Childcare!

As we did at WordCamp Europe 2016 (in Vienna) and 2017 (in Paris), we intend to provide childcare during the the conference’s two days in Belgrade (Fri 15 and Sat 16 June 2018). We’re partnering with Preschool Čukarica to make WCEU as accessible as possible to parents. Their professional staff will entertain your kids in an amazing playground in the same building as WordCamp Europe.

The childcare service is free for all our attendees but is limited to 25 children. If you want to leave your child at our childcare service, you need to sign them up using our childcare registration form (and you need to get your WordCamp Europe ticket before signing up – in case you haven’t got one already).

To Boldly Go Where No Man Has Gone Before

Once again you reached the end of an article. Instead of congratulating you we encourage you to go check out this article instead, to download WCEU badges and banners. If you are attending, sponsoring, volunteering, or speaking – let the whole world know. <3

That’s it for the news today. Grab your gear and go enjoy some time off with your family and friends. And stay tuned for a new batch of tickets to be released soon.

Love,
WordCamp Europe
