Call for Organisers

Note: The Call for Organisers will close on 31 July 2026 at 23:59 CEST

To create the best WordCamp Europe 2027, we rely on a team of organisers from our community.

If you want to get involved, or think you can help us do better, apply to join the WordCamp Europe 2027 Organising Team.

Teams

WCEU organisers work in teams across the different areas of the event. We review and adapt the team structure each year based on what we learn, so new teams may appear from one edition to the next.

The exact teams will be confirmed after applications come in, adapting from our existing setup to suit 2027’s needs.

Who can apply

If you enjoy WordCamps and want to dedicate time and energy to making them better, you are the right person to apply.

There is no single profile that makes a good organiser. We work with each other’s skills and interests, and those combine to make a strong team. We want to know about your experience, but also your passions and how you see yourself contributing.

Organising a WordCamp is rewarding, but it takes real commitment. The Organising Team starts planning in August 2026, and most teams hold weekly or bi-weekly meetings through to the event in May 2027.

You must be comfortable working with a distributed team and committing time on a weekly basis. Everyone on the Organising Team is expected to follow our Code of Conduct and treat each other fairly and respectfully.

We recommend applicants be based in European time zones given when meetings are scheduled, but we welcome applications from WordPress enthusiasts everywhere.

If you are considering applying to host WordCamp Europe 2028, joining the 2027 organising team is a practical way to understand how the event works and what hosting requires.
