What is Contributor Day?
Contributor Day is a full-day event where WordPressers come together to contribute to the project in many different ways. Whether you’re a first-timer or an experienced contributor, everyone is welcome.
Yes, even one day of contribution can make a difference, and we’ll support you every step of the way.
What Can You Do on Contributor Day?
There’s something for everyone, including:
- Translate WordPress
- Fix bugs and test features
- Improve documentation
- Work on design, UX, or marketing
- Help support users
- Create or review photos and videos
- Support the WordPress community

What can I expect?
New to Contributor Day? Don’t worry — you’re in good hands.
Experienced contributors will be there to support you every step of the way. Just look out for our dedicated table leads, volunteers and organisers — they’re there to answer questions, guide you through the day, and help you find your place in the contributor community.
And if you’re already experienced, consider giving back by “adopting” a newcomer. Your support can make a big difference.

How can I prepare for Contributor Day?
- First of all, make sure you have your WordCamp Europe ticket already!
- If you have not done it yet, update your WordPress Profile with your personal details! (If you’d like to use an image/avatar on your WordPress Profile go to gravatar.com and create an account using the same email).
- Sign up for Contributor Day! You should use the same email used while purchasing your ticket! (The form is at the bottom of this page.)
- Make sure to check your email inbox for pre-event information! Check your spam folder occasionally so you don’t miss out on any news from us.
- Join the international Make WordPress Slack workspace. See here how.
- Search for #contributor-day channel or any other team channel and join them!
- Get ready to plug in!
