The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the #WCEU After Party

Next week, thousands of WordPress enthusiasts will gather in Belgrade to contribute, learn, listen, speak, network, and party. 🕺

WordCamp Europe’s after party is a chance for attendees to celebrate and reflect on their time at the event. We’re excited to invite you along and have put together this post with all the info you need. Your handy Hitchhiker’s Guide to the WordCamp Europe after party, if you will.

When and Where

The after party will take place on June 16th, the final day of the conference. It starts at 7pm and ends at 2am.

We’ll be partying at the same venue as Contributor Day—Belexpo Centar, Španskih boraca 74, Belgrade. Belexpo Centar is two kilometres from the main conference venue and we’ve compiled accessibility information.

The Theme

This year’s theme is retro-futurism. Think Back to the Future with a twist of 2001: A Space Odyssey. Intrigued? We included more information and some ideas for costumes in the announcement post.

We’re looking forward to seeing how you embrace this year’s theme. 🚀 👩‍🚀 ⭐

Remember that the theme is optional. If you feel more comfortable in a WordPress hoody or some other informal attire, feel welcome to show up in that. You won’t be the only one!

Food and Drinks

The cost of your ticket includes food and drinks at the after party. You can check out the after party menu, which includes vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. Non-alcoholic beverages are free, also.

Each attendee will be given one drink ticket, which you can exchange for a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster any alcoholic beverage of your choosing. Additional alcoholic drinks can be purchased for 2 EUR cash or the equivalent RSD.

Anything Else?

Don’t forget your badge! Venue staff will be welcoming attendees and your badge is the only way they have of knowing that you purchased a ticket.

And, of course, there’ll be a photobooth. Actually, scratch that, there’ll be two photobooths! Bring along your cheesiest grins. 📷 We’ll meet you there.
