Introducing the WordPress.org Education Student Sponsorship at WordCamp Europe 2026

WordCamp Europe 2026 is doing something new this year: for the first time, we’re welcoming a group of sponsored students to the event through the WordPress.org Education Student Sponsorship.

The WordPress.org Education program brings WordPress directly to students on campus with the goal of bridging the classroom and the global WordPress community. The students joining us in Kraków are part of WordPress Credits, a program that integrates WordPress into university curricula and recognises students for contributing to real-world projects.

This year, five WordPress Credits students will attend WordCamp Europe fully sponsored: travel, accommodation, and the complete three-day experience: sessions, workshops, Contributor Day, and the hallway conversations that tend to matter just as much. Each sponsorship package is €1,000, processed through WordPress Community Support (WPCS).

This first edition was made possible by companies and individuals who wanted to do more than attend, they wanted to open the door for the next generation of contributors.

Sponsors who supported this initiative are recognized as WordPress.org Education Student Sponsors on the WCEU 2026 sponsors page, at a dedicated venue banner, and in a follow-up impact report.

Thank you to our WordPress.org Education Student Sponsors:

We hope this is the first of many years. If you’re interested in supporting student attendance at future WordCamps, watch for future opportunities and announcements. To learn more about the WordPress Education program, visit wordpress.org/education.

WordCamp Europe 2026 takes place June 4–6 in Kraków, Poland, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone, sponsors, students, and the broader WordPress community. See you soon!
