ICE Kraków:
your conference venue guide
WordCamp Europe 2026 will take place at ICE Kraków, a purpose-built congress centre that opened in 2014. Here’s what you need to know about getting there, getting in, and getting around once you’re inside.
ICE Kraków
ul. Marii Konopnickiej 17
It’s a 15-minute walk from the Main Market Square and directly adjacent to Vistula Boulevard, the riverside path locals use for running and cycling. The Sheraton hotel is attached to the building, which matters if you’re staying there, but also means hotel guests will be wandering through.
Look for the modern glass-and-concrete structure near the Grunwaldzki Bridge. You can’t miss it once you’re close.

The main entrance faces Konopnickiej Street. Registration happens in the ground floor atrium. From there, our attendees’ services team and volunteers will lead you to the rest of the conference experience.

HOw to get there?
Walking From the Old Town
The most pleasant route takes you down Stradomska Street toward the river, then along the Vistula Boulevard. About 15-20 minutes, depending on your pace. You’ll pass under the Grunwaldzki Bridge and see ICE on your left.
The alternative route goes via Dietla Street if you’re coming from Kazimierz. Slightly less scenic but more direct.
Trams
Once you receive your WordCamp badge, you can use all public transport for free.
Lines 8, 13, 24, and 73 stop at “ICE Kraków” directly in front of the venue.
From the Main Train Station: Take tram 8 or 13 south. About 10 minutes.
From Kazimierz: Tram 24 from Plac Wolnica or Miodowa Street. 5-7 minutes.
Taxis and ride-sharing
Uber, Bolt, and FreeNow all operate in Kraków. From the Old Town, expect 15-20 PLN, possibly 25 PLN if traffic is heavy. Traditional taxis cost slightly more. The venue has a designated drop-off area on Konopnickiej Street.
Bikes and scooters
Kraków’s bike-share system (Wavelo) and electric scooters (Bolt, Lime) work well here. The riverside path connects directly to ICE and avoids traffic completely. Scooters cost about 1 PLN to unlock plus 0.50-1 PLN per minute.
If you’re driving
Don’t. But if you must, ICE has underground parking (entrance from Klimeckiego Street). Expect to pay around 5 PLN per hour. Street parking in this area is metered and competitive.

Food and drinks
Catering is included with your conference ticket, which means unlimited coffee, water, and tea, plus a daily lunch. If you need a light snack between sessions, you can always use the nearest shops.
Yes! Żabka shops are on every corner in Kraków.
