Each year, our team of volunteer photographers and photo editors work tirelessly to capture as much of the three-day event as possible. With lenses trained in every direction, they ensure that moments are preserved and memories can be relived and shared.

WordCamps are fast-moving events, with multiple things happening at once, and we rely on a strong team to keep everything covered.

Bring your skills, your experience, and your own gear, and join us.

If you believe you have what it takes to visually document everything happening in Kraków on 4–6 June, we would love to hear from you.

You do not need to be a seasoned professional. We are looking for people with experience in event photography, with WordCamp experience considered a plus. This year we will also be producing videos, so film-making experience is welcome.

Examples of work from previous years can be found in our Flickr gallery.

As an official WCEU photographer, you will:

  • Join a great team in an excellent working environment
  • Release your images under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International licence
  • Shoot in your own style
  • Produce sharp, high-quality photographs

Like all the other roles at WordCamp Europe, photography will be volunteer-based, so there is no payment for taking part. But it does ensure a free ticket, food, swag, and an invitation to the exclusive Volunteers Social as thanks for your contribution.
