Can you start by painting a picture of what a typical day looks like for you? What fuels your passion for the work you do, and how does it tie into your involvement with WCEU?
I normally wake up around 5.30am, feed the cats and clear any emails. Then I have breakfast with my family and the first part of the morning I record YouTube videos, and then in the afternoon I plan and prep content ideas for the following day.
What sparked your interest in becoming a speaker at WCEU? Was there a particular moment or experience that motivated you to share your insights with this community?
I’ve been creating videos for a few years on YouTube, and running Block Theme courses online. It’s part of my mission to try and spread the word about WordPress, and I see block themes as being central to that mission.
For those awaiting your talk, could you give us a preview of what we can expect to learn from your talk? Any sneak peeks?
My main aim is to inspire people to give Block Themes a try and show them all the cool things that are possible out of the box
Is it your first time at a WCEU or WordPress event? Any standout memories or lessons learned that you’d like to share?
I’ve been to a few now. One of me best memories is when Matt Mullenweg demo’d our Caxton plugin in Nashville at WordCamp US a few years ago 🙂
Looking beyond the scheduled sessions, what do you hope attendees will take away from their overall experience at WCEU? How can they leverage the event to enhance their professional development or personal growth?
That there’s never been a more exciting time to be involved in WordPress!
