Herb Miller

A WordPress plugin builder and community advocate, Herb has been contributing to the platform and community for most of the 11 years he has been using the software. He is the founding organiser of the WordPress Pompey Meetup.

Herb is a retired software engineer who gives his time to help others learn about how to use WordPress, log feature requests and raise questions. He is always keen to find new ways to encourage new developers to discover interesting ways to use the platform.

He started cataloguing WordPress blocks, and from there his interest developed into the Gutenberg Block Editor and Full Site Editing. He joined the FSE Outreach Experiment channel on the WordPress.org Slack to contribute to its ongoing development. He has also developed three experimental FSE themes to be able to develop blocks using FSE, to help test updates and encourage others to take part.

He lives in Hampshire on the south coast of England, with his wife Susan and their two cats.

The WordPress Blocks Reference site was created by Herb Miller. It is a curated catalogue of blocks for the WordPress Block Editor and the plugins that deliver them. It is designed to help other developers find the blocks they need for their website.
