Archived: Visas for WordCamp Europe

Do you need a visa to attend WordCamp Europe?

People travel from all across the world to attend WordCamp Europe. Last year, nearly 3,000 attendees from 97 countries joined us for the biggest WordCamp ever organised.

This year WordCamp Europe takes place in Porto and we look forward to welcoming attendees to Portugal to enjoy the event from 4-6 June 2020.

Entry requirements vary by country; for example European Union citizens won’t need a visa, but a passport or other valid ID will be needed.

Depending on your nationality, passports must be valid for up to six months and are required for all visitors to Portugal, except for European Union citizens and nationals of Iceland, Liechtenstein, Malta, Norway and Switzerland holding valid national ID cards.

For more information on Portugal’s visa requirements, please visit the Government of Portugal – Foreign Affairs website.
