We are two weeks away from WordCamp Europe! That means there are two weeks left for final preparations, and we wanted to share as much of the information you will need as possible. Have a question that hasn’t been answered yet? Well, read on – you might find it in the text that follows.
Ticket sales end tomorrow
First things first. Tomorrow is the last day to grab your (regular) ticket for WordCamp Europe for only €40. In June you will still have the opportunity to get your micro sponsor ticket for €150. This is the first time we decided to end ticket sales before we sell out and our reasons for doing that are explained here.
Childcare
To continue with the previous year’s tradition, and to help those travelling with kids, we are organising childcare. There will be room for up to 25 kids, and we didn’t sell out yet – but you have to register in advance if you want to leave your kids with us while you explore the conference.
Speakers and the schedule
We published all the speakers almost a month ago, and you can look at the schedule to search for your favourite talks. Opposite to last year, this year we will have two tracks only and much more time between the talks – so you can network with other attendees.
Contributor Day
Contributor Day has sold out. No more space, sorry! But if you have registered, we prepared an article with all the relevant information you’ll need to know (such as the rooms you can find each Contributor Team in). Also, don’t forget to check the Contributor Day schedule for details on the talks and workshops – we will have some great content there too!
One important announcement for all of you planning to start your local WordPress Meetup – during Contributor day there will be an orientation group to help you kick start your local community in a friendly and supporting atmosphere.
Tribe meetups and speed networking sessions
For the third time, WordCamp Europe will have ten Tribe Meetups and three Speed Networking sessions. While speed networking is a great opportunity to grow your network, tribe meetups are informal gatherings of people with similar interests. We’ll provide the space, and you can talk with others. Don’t forget to tell us you’re coming by filling in this form (so that we can get an idea of how many people plan to attend).
Where to find all the information you’ll need?
We have a separate page on our site containing information for our attendees. It includes links to some more details about the afterparty, transportation, a list of hotels, how to get mobile coverage while in France, information about venue accessibility, and the inclusivity of the event. If you plan to attend WordCamp Europe with your kids, we will provide childcare, and if you intend to work we have a list of coworking spaces (with some discounts).
There’s always a possibility a question hasn’t been answered, but before you ask about it on social networks (hello Facebook and Twitter) check our FAQ page first.
Thank you
Thank you for being part of WordCamp Europe, either by sponsoring, speaking, volunteering or simply by attending. We love you all. <3
