Most large shopping centres and supermarkets (like Biedronka or Lidl) will be <strong>closed<\/strong>. But don&#8217;t worry, you won&#8217;t go hungry!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Legendary \u017babka<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Poland, we have a &#8220;magical&#8221; solution called <strong>\u017babka<\/strong> (which literally means &#8220;little frog&#8221;). It\u2019s a chain of small convenience stores with a distinctive green logo that you\u2019ll find on literally every corner \u2013 often two on the same street!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>How does it work?<\/strong> Thanks to a clever loophole in the law, these small shops can stay open on holidays if the owner works behind the counter themselves.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Opening hours:<\/strong> Usually from <strong>09:00\/10:00 until 19:00\/21:00<\/strong>. Every \u017babka might have slightly different hours depending on the owner\u2019s whim, but you\u2019re bound to find one open nearby.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Restaurants and Bars<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Good news! The trading ban <strong>does not apply<\/strong> to the hospitality industry.
