Behind the scenes, you’ll find a variety of volunteer organisers from across the continent and beyond, helping to plan and prepare for the largest WordCamp event in Europe!
All of our organisers dedicate their own time and skills to help bring our community together for an amazing few days to learn, collaborate and celebrate.
Lead Organisers
We’ve three dedicated and experienced Lead Organisers who will be overseeing the organisation of our event and supporting our team members.
They are in charge of helping keep everything on track by bringing their own individual touch and their past WordCamp experiences to set the tone and energy for WordCamp Europe 2025.

The Attendee Services Team provides audience support and ticket logistics. They are available throughout the event, making sure attendees have all the information they need.

Mariusz Szatkowski
As a WordPress theme web developer, I specialise in multilingual, cross-browser customisations, performance optimisation, AI/ML (Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning), Large Language Model Optimisation (LLMO), and Search Engine Marketing (SEM).
I deliver high-quality technologies for mobile and desktop devices. I create responsive web design layouts for WordPress themes, ensuring accessibility across all devices, anytime, anywhere. I adapt and/or tailor themes and plugins to individual customer needs using HTML5 / CSS3 / PHP / JS.
I help customers transition from HTML or low-quality CMS services and train them on new tools. I establish a substantial online presence and improve online businesses through inbound marketing and web optimisation.
I recommend optimisation activities and offer strategic and tactical support to clients, and I’m most often responsible for growth.
I specialise in creating medium- to large-scale campaigns for online companies that aim to dominate in their products, services, and overall online presence, especially on Google search.
I quickly understand and adapt to new solutions in online-based technologies, industries and business
environments. I have developed an extraordinarily vast and comprehensive understanding of the subject matter.
The WordPress environment, performance uplift and Search Engine Marketing and Optimisation (SEM / SEO) are my primary focus. Moreover, drive me in my quest to greater heights, keeping me abreast with the ever-evolving world of search & SEO.
Communications, Marketing & PR Team
Our Communications, Marketing & PR Team works closely with all other organising teams to ensure that attendees are kept up-to-date on the latest WordCamp Europe developments via our blog, social channels, and attendee emails. They also work with our partner media organisations to help spread news, information and back-stage activity worldwide.
Community Team
The Community Team raises awareness of contributing to the WordPress project, enhances the event’s community-building element and, ultimately, makes WordCamp Europe more fun!
Design Team
The Design Team supports other teams with their visual communications needs and is responsible for WordCamp Europe’s distinctive style!

Local Team
Our Local Team brings a wealth of knowledge and contacts for Basel, supporting logistics, sourcing local suppliers and venues – but also highlighting some of the sights and history of our host city.

With images and videos, the Photography Team documents and tells the visual story of the WordPress community coming together to learn and engage at WordCamp Europe.
Speakers Team
The Speakers Team is responsible for putting together a rich and varied schedule of talks to inspire and educate WordCamp attendees.
