We’re very excited to announce that Lua Salazar is this year’s recipient of the WordCamp Europe 2025 Diversity Scholarship.
Hailing from Nicaragua, Lua is a business administrator with a passion for technology and digital marketing. Over the past 15 years, her experience has allowed her to develop key skills in business management, consulting and training.
Lua is excited to connect and engage with the WordPress community. “I believe in the power of community, which is why I’ve been actively collaborating with WordPress since 2019. I’ve participated in numerous events, connecting with amazing people and learning from the best.” she says.
Currently working as a Community Manager and Project Manager, she’s regularly leading projects which meet with her passions of technology and engagement with people – and allow her an opportunity to engage with the community. Lua currently contributes around 10 hours per week to the Community Team and mentors local events through the WordPress Latam Community.
When not working, Lua enjoys traveling, and spending time with friends, family and her husband. She loves connecting with new people and exploring innovative ideas.
This will be her first ever visit to a flagship event, and we’re excited to award Lua the Diversity Scholarship for 2025.
