What’s the funniest or most memorable moment you’ve had with your team?
When we went on the first site visit back in August, we were lucky to travel with the local lead and production pool for some needed down time for the day to a French town named Colmar – we got around a table, had drinks and chatted for ages it was great to socialise together and make plans for the event.
If WCEU were a music festival, what would be your team’s anthem? 🪇
Darude – Sandstorm: High energy and excitement!
What’s one thing people don’t realise about your team’s work behind the scenes? 🪁
A lot of people don’t realise the time, effort and experience which go into bringing an event like WCEU together. A lot of people may not be familiar with project management, they don’t know what happens behind the scenes – or the months of planning which come together to support the community for three amazing days.
In the spirit of open-source collaboration, what’s the best lesson WCEU has taught you about teamwork?
Connections and Networking. The opportunity to informally chat and socialise with the team is invaluable to understand people’s backgrounds, skills and experience – and then harness and expand on these to produce an amazing collaborative event.
Which famous fictional character would make the best addition to your team, and why?
Some wizard who can see everything that is going on!
Convince someone in 10 words or less why they should join WCEU next year.
WCEU is more than an event. It’s an amazing family.
