WordCamp Europe is one of the most important WordPress events in the world!
It’s our chance to connect, be inspired, and share our knowledge and stories.

Most of all, every WordCamp is made by the people. That’s why we want WordCamp Europe 2024 to be the place where our whole community is represented. We want to make it a friendly, welcoming, and diverse showcase of what brings us together – besides being users of the world’s most used CMS.

You are welcome at WordCamp Europe 2024, and this is your chance to apply as a speaker.

Here’s how it works:

Event format and sessions

WordCamp Europe 2024 will have two full days of talks, workshops, and panels:

  • Long talk: 45 minutes total
The traditional format of every WordCamp, with enough time for anything you want.
It’s up to you to use all the time in your slot or take questions.
  • Lightning talk: 10 minutes total
Perfect for a short presentation, tips & tricks, or anything you want.
    No Q&A.
  • Workshops
1 hour hands-on sessions or deep dives on any topic.
  • Panels
There’s no call for applications for panels, but you if you want to suggest an idea or a topic, please contact our team!

You can submit up to two proposals in your application.

Do you have to be an experienced speaker?

You don’t need to be an experienced speaker. Everybody, at any level, is welcome. However, at WordCamp Europe, you may be speaking in front of large audiences, therefore we suggest applying only if you have some speaking experience – although not necessarily at local WordCamps or Meetups.

In short: if you feel like it, go for it!

In the coming weeks and months, we’ll be sharing resources and tips on how to prepare your talk and correctly submit your application.

Support for underrepresented speakers

We want WordCamp Europe to be diverse, inclusive, and welcoming for all, for real.

If you feel you’re part of an underrepresented speaker group, we encourage you to apply to be a speaker at WordCamp Europe 2024.

In addition, our team also has a Mentorship program where selected speakers can get support and feedback from more experienced WordCamp speakers and community members

We would love to hear new voices sharing practical experiences from different perspectives.

The WordCamp Europe 2024 organising team truly believe in inclusion and diversity. We want you to be encouraged, we will give you resources so you can feel comfortable and thanks to you we aim to co-produce an amazing WordCamp Europe 2024 for all.
