Hello, Anne! Which team are you a part of, and what is your role?

Hi! I’m a proud member of the Sponsors Team, as Team Lead.

Where are you from / where are you based?

I was born and raised in The Netherlands in a multilingual artist family.

Currently I am based in Mönchengladbach, next to Düsseldorf, but you will regularly find me for longer periods high up in the Swiss Alps in a car-free village called Braunwald and a small Turkish village called Dalyan, which is located in a protected delta area with an amazing diversity in protected flora and fauna.

When did you first get involved with the WordPress project, and have you contributed to the project previously?

I’ve been using WordPress since 2007. It was 2019 when I really became active and visible as a member of WordPress Düsseldorf. I have helped to translate WordPress throughout this period. This year I contributed as a member of the 6.4 Release Squad.

Is this your first time organising WordCamp Europe, or have you been an organiser/volunteer previously?

I was in the sponsors team for WCEU Porto and Athens as well.

Which team are you on, and what is the team responsible for?

Factually, our team is responsible for creating the sponsorship packages, be the contacts for all who sponsor (or who consider to sponsor) and to ensure agreements are signed and invoices get paid.

What are you and your team working on at the moment?

We were able to publish the Call for Sponsors quite early this year. Today we started with a new signing tool. It turns out that this tool works so smoothly, that we started getting signed agreements back in a matter of hours already!

So now, earlier than ever, we are working on creating the sponsor pages and the paperwork that comes after agreements have been signed.

We are also working on the publication of a post about what our team does in general, to give a “peak in our kitchen”.
