We welcome your ideas!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\" id=\"what-presentation-formats-will-be-available\">What presentation formats will be available?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As in previous years, we\u2019re planning to have multiple tracks and formats, including large stages for talks and smaller rooms for hands-on workshops. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each session on the stages will be one hour in total. Content will take up to 45 minutes of each hour, leaving 15 minutes after each session to switch tracks, grab a cup of coffee, and chat with other attendees. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WCEU 2023 will feature talks in the following formats:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Traditional talks [Apply below]<br>45 minutes in total, breaking down to 30 minutes for the talk &amp; 15 minutes for Q&amp;A. After the session, we will invite attendees to join WP Cafe for the break to have a discussion there.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hands-On Workshops [Apply below]<br>50 minutes or 110 minutes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Expert panels on a specific topic <br>We don&#8217;t have a call for applications here, but you if you have an idea of the panel, feel free email us directly: <a href=\"mailto:europe-speakers@wordcamp.org\" data-type=\"mailto\" data-id=\"mailto: europe-speakers@wordcamp.org\">europe-speakers@wordcamp.org<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lightning talks <br>45 mins of 3-5 short presentations, targeting a specific audience or topic.<br>There is no call for applications here as well, but we might offer some applicants directly to do a lightning talk.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\" id=\"we-invite-you-to-interact-with-the-attendees\">We invite speakers to interact with the attendees<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We would love to see speakers adding activities to your session and getting the audience involved in the process!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do you need some inspiration? In the past, there were some great examples:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the Czech Republic, a security researcher installed a Wi-Fi honeypot in the venue and taught the audience a valuable lesson about security: A login to a WordPress Backend without SSL from public Wi-Fi is a bad idea. He presented all logins to WordPress Backends from the conference days without SSL as \u201ccompromised.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Another security researcher at <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/54vEJyJJNXc?t=13535\">WCEU 2020 Online<\/a> integrated the audience via a <a href=\"https:\/\/kahoot.it\/\">game website<\/a> to answer different questions in a poll.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In a late afternoon talk at WCEU 2019, <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.tv\/2019\/10\/12\/sebastiaan-van-der-lans-from-wordpress-to-blockchain-the-future-is-100-open-source\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/wordpress.tv\/2019\/10\/12\/sebastiaan-van-der-lans-from-wordpress-to-blockchain-the-future-is-100-open-source\/\">a speaker made the audience dance<\/a> to \u201cNever gonna give you up\u201d by Rick Astley, which woke them up again for the last hours of the conference.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Others asked the audience how they felt and let them <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mentimeter.com\/app\/presentation\/f021ad3226460dbcd7117eff3d8ec280\/a2a95b02c22d\">answer questions<\/a> over <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mentimeter.com\/\">Mentimeter<\/a>, an online tool that allows you to add interactive polls, quizzes, and word clouds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>We hope these give you some great ideas for your own presentation!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\" id=\"who-can-apply\">Who can apply?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can!
