WordCamps are all about coming together to contribute, learn, network and share. Side events are encouraged to expand on these fundamentals; they present the perfect opportunity for smaller, more intimate groups. It\u2019s nice to step away from the crowds during busy conference days and meet and mingle with others having the same more focused interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The days before and after the conference are also a great chance to organise an event and meet some new people.Your side events will be featured on the website and social media. All side events must be open and accessible for all WCEU participants and contribute to community and connection. All side events will be asked to comply with the Code of Conduct<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hello friends! Last year in Porto, we had a picnic in the park near the venue and despite the rain, it was a success and we met friends from all around the world! This year, we are doing it again! Let’s meet for a Picnic! A picnic can be only a sandwich or fruits, or something you buy locally, no need to cook (not easy for those staying in hotels).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meeting place: Parko Eleftherias (the park near the Megaron, the WCEU venue). Let\u2019s meet at the statue (of Eleftherios Venizelos) or at the top of the park (benches and shadow), you can find the contact phone number on the registration page in case of need. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registration: we would love to know how many people to expect and who is coming. Please fill out the form on the registration page. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cost: 0, besides bringing food to share or for yourself. It can be a simple thing you buy at the grocery store. If you follow a specific diet, please bring your own food. You can even come with just a drink. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What to expect: Meet other WordPress international community fellows. Bring your smile and an open mind. Introverts, families with kids, and diversity groups are welcome. Full respect is expected, in the spirit of WordCamp Code of Conduct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
