Letter of Invitation

Requests for a Letter of Invitation closed on 15 May 2023

To enter Greece, you may need a visa, depending on the country that issued your passport. Citizens of the European Schengen Area will not need a visa.  For other nationals, there may be a requirement to apply for a visa to enter Greece and attend WordCamp Europe 2023.

Please check the website of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs to see if you need to apply for a visa. It will also tell you what documentation is required.

In order to apply for the visa and receive your visa and invitation letter you will need:

  • Passport that must be valid for up to six months (depending on your nationality)
  • Your email address must be the same one that you used to purchase your ticket
  • You must have already purchased your ticket – we will not issue the invitation letter if you have not purchased a ticket. Should the visa request be refused, we will refund you.

The deadline for requests is 15 May 2023

Important: Visa Letters will take up to 5 working days to be issued as our team will need to check that applicants are eligible for a letter to be provided. If you do not meet the above criteria, your request will be rejected.

Please ensure you double check your entries below before submitting as the letter will be provided with these details – take extra care with expiry dates and ensure any names or wording match those as they appear on your official documentation.
