Why sponsor WordCamp Europe 2023?

WordCamp Europe 2023 is coming and we need you! After the huge success of WCEU in 2022, we want to make WordCamp Europe 2023 an even bigger success.

Together, we managed to organise an awesome WordCamp: 2730 attendees were present in Porto, Portugal, we had a 60 square metres Community Booth and we came together for the largest Contributor Day ever with a record number of 800 participants!

65 sponsors made the event accessible, affordable, and fun for attendees from all around Europe and the world and this didn’t go unnoticed. The whole organising team, and every single attendee were grateful for the support of our awesome sponsors.

For several years, WordCamp Europe has been putting a lot of work and thought into becoming a sustainable event.

The good news is that you can easily join our efforts. Swag and handouts from sponsors are one of the best parts of WordCamp Europe, right?

We’d love for you to get creative and think about innovative, eco-friendly giveaways that add value for our attendees.

Following increased demand, we’re pleased to announce a limited number of additional packages are available – details are below and you can register your interest at the bottom of this page, so if you’re ready to send in your application, head straight there. A member of the Sponsorship Team will be in touch. 

We will close our call for sponsors once these places have been claimed.

Update note (April 12th): our sponsorship packages are now sold-out. The page has been rearranged, the packages are still available under the new “sold-out sponsor packages details” section. The application form has been removed to avoid to avoid creating unnecessary frustration or disappointment.

Note from the Sponsors team lead: unlike previous editions, we will not be providing badge scanners as part of the sponsorship packages in 2023. There are several reasons for this: the cost of these solutions, the GDPR constraints and the fact that we are a volunteer team that changes every year.
In Porto, we saw that many sponsors have already started a transition to their own strategies to collect contacts (activities, triathlon, video games, live demo, etc) which are much more creative and qualitative than what we could offer. This is what we want to support!
