All WordCamps need volunteers to run the show alongside event organisers. Everything from the swag station to ticket sales and microphones is set up and managed by volunteers.
Please note: Our Call for Volunteers has now closed.
Are you interested in helping us capture WordCamp Europe 2019 on camera? Our Call for Photographers is now open.
Apply before 10 March 2019 to volunteer at this year’s event, using your photography, videography, or editing skills to document the magic between 20-22 June 2019 in Berlin, Germany.
Please note: Call for Photographers is now closed.
If you already have a talk or workshop you want to submit but feel there is something you should ask before sending it, we have good news.
The WCEU Content Team invites you to submit questions through an online form. Plus we’ll be available on 2 January 2019 for an open meeting, where you have the opportunity to ask us anything about speaking at WCEU 2019.
The Call for Speakers and the Call for Workshops opened in October 2018 and since then, we’ve received applications from around the world. There’s still time to submit yours!
The deadline for applications is 7 January 2019, after which the selection process will start, and the Organising Team will focus on designing a programme that features great content!
Last year, we received 374 talk proposals from 216 people, then narrowed applications to just 52 sessions that formed the final schedule for WordCamp Europe 2018 in Belgrade. Read how the selection process worked last year.
Although many of you are expert speakers, we think it’s important that we explain, in detail, what we take into consideration when choosing talks and workshops for WordCamp Europe
Do you have questions, concerns or suggestions for Contributor Day?
Are you wondering what a Contributor Day is in the first place? Not just for WordCamp Europe, but for any Contributor Day? Don’t worry, we have you covered.
WordCamps are intentionally inclusive. From affordable ticket prices to live captioning and on-site childcare, there are many ways that WordCamp Europe organisers try to ensure our event is accessible and welcoming to everyone, regardless of financial background, physical ability, ethnicity, gender, or other factors.
Often at tech events, we see an imbalance in the representation of speakers. It is extremely important to the WCEU Organising Team that we deliver an event with a balanced and diverse range of speakers that better reflects the WordPress community and our society.
WordCamp Europe is hosted in a different city in Europe each year, meaning there is an annual opportunity to refresh our take on WCEU, putting a new spin on the established brand.
Each year, the Design Team (a sub-team in the wider WCEU Organising Team) carefully chooses colours, fonts, graphics and a compelling theme that runs through the visual representation of the upcoming year’s edition of WCEU.
For 2019, WCEU is hosted in Berlin, Germany, and our theme is: Street art!
The application process has closed, and a WordCamp Europe 2020 host city has been selected!
After Leiden, Sofia, Sevilla, Vienna, Paris, Belgrade and Berlin, where will WordCamp Europe travel to next? Here’s an opportunity for your local WordPress community to join a historic lineup of destinations!
