Are you ready for lift off? WCEU is here and it’s gonna be spectacular! People have started to arrive from all corners of the world to Belgrade and this creates a wonderful vibe before the event. If you got here early, hope you enjoyed this beautiful city that hosts the sixth edition of WordCamp Europe. If you’re still on the way, we hope everything goes as planned!<\/p>\n
Now, we’re just waiting for everyone to be here. Here’s a final roundup with everything you need to know while at WCEU:<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
WordCamp\u00a0Europe starts tomorrow<\/strong> with Contributor Day at\u00a0Belexpo Centar.<\/a> We begin at 8:30 when registration opens, and we will contribute until 17:00 with a lunch break at 12:30. Teams are\u00a0listed here<\/a>, and if you’re a first-time contributor, there’s a\u00a0section<\/a>\u00a0on everything you need to know to make your first experience a great one.<\/p>\n Friday<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Saturday<\/strong>\u00a0are the conference days and they will take place in\u00a0Sava Centar<\/a>. On Friday registration will open at 8:00, with opening remarks at 9:30 and the first sessions (and workshops) starting at 10:00. Lunch will be at 13:00 though we will start serving it half an hour earlier for all of you who are in the hallway track.\u00a0On the second conference day\u00a0(Saturday) registration will be open at 8:00 with sessions starting at 9:00. Check out the\u00a0full schedule<\/a>\u00a0for both days.<\/p>\n If you’re looking to network, we will have an\u00a0Open Networking<\/strong> session\u00a0on Friday at 8:30 followed by\u00a0Speed Networking<\/strong>\u00a0session at 10:00. The second Open Networking session will take place after the closing remarks on Saturday, at 17:30. We will also have\u00a0Tribe Meetups<\/strong>\u00a0focused on specific topics \u2013\u00a0here\u2019s a full list<\/a>\u00a0and more info about them.<\/p>\n WordCamp Europe believes our community should be truly open<\/strong> for everyone<\/em>. As such, we are committed to providing a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for all<\/strong>, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, ethnicity, religion, preferred operating system, programming language, or text editor.<\/p>\n The After Party will be held at\u00a0Belexpo Centar<\/a>\u00a0(the same venue where Contributor Day happens). It will start at 19:00 after the second conference day is over.<\/p>\n All non-alcoholic beverages will be served free, and the first alcoholic drink is on us. After that beer, wine and cocktails will be 2\u20ac a piece (or the equivalent in dinars)\u00a0Make sure to bring your badge<\/strong> and some cash (Serbian dinars are preferred but Euros are accepted too, though note that all change will be given in dinars. Credit cards are not accepted). In case you will need more \u2013 there’s an ATM nearby. We are also serving hot and cold food all night, for free!<\/p>\n Take some time and stop by our sponsors’ booths in Sava Centar’s Expo Area<\/strong> and see what they have prepared for you this year.
