Whether you\u2019re coming for the first time or just want to have everything in one place, these are the must-dos while you\u2019re here.

Your kids will love Belgrade as will you. With its versatile charm, Belgrade offers plenty to see, try, and explore for all ages. From visiting the city Zoo and exploring magnificent Kalemegdan to having fun at Ada Ciganlija and its interactive amusement park, we’ve listed some of the must-visit places while staying in Belgrade.<\/p>\n

Knez Mihailova Street and Kalemegdan <\/a><\/h2>\n

The main pedestrian street in the city centre and the most significant monumental landmark are right beside one another. With its many cafe bars, restaurants and shops, Knez Mihailova street will satisfy your urban sightseeing needs. If you happen to need some sweets or feel hungry after a walk, there are a few recommendations from the locals. Like the Moritz Eis ice cream shop<\/a><\/span>, where you\u2019ll enjoy heavenly taste of some of the best ice cream in the town. Or, set yourself to go to Manufaktura restaurant<\/a>, the one that offers slow food in Serbian style. Prepare to enjoy a rich variety of homemade Serbian food.<\/span><\/p>\n

And, once you\u2019re done with that, let Kalemegdan charm you with its historical monumental complex. Here, you and your family will explore the history of Belgrade, walk among ancient, medieval and Turkish remains, and enjoy the breathtaking sunset over the Sava and Dunav confluence. While you\u2019re here, enjoy the many mini parks and playgrounds for the kids, the city Zoo and quite a lot coffee shops and restaurants that offer a variety of excellent food. From traditional- urban restaurant, Kalemegdan Terrace<\/a>, with its gorgeous view from the fortress<\/span>\u00a0to the old-school \u201ckafana\u201d restaurant Little Kalemegdan<\/a><\/span>, you will be surprised by the taste and good vibes around you.<\/span><\/p>\n

Botanical Garden Jevremovac<\/a><\/h2>\n

A green oasis within the city centre, Botanical Garden Jevremovac is a very peaceful and pleasant place for you to explore.<\/span><\/p>\n

Founded in 1874, by the Ministry of Education, it was declared a natural monument 23 years ago. Get lost among more than 2500 various plant species, enjoy the Japanese garden or Victorian style greenhouse, have a picnic or just take a break and spend some quality time with your loved ones.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ada Ciganlija<\/a><\/h2>\n

You should definitely visit Belgrade\u2019s sea \u2013 what natives call “river island” turned into the peninsula in the Sava River\u2019s course. <\/span><\/p>\n

Packed with coffee shops and restaurants, 16 km long wide beach around the artificial lake, as well with many outdoor activities for children of all ages. You want to walk, ride a bike or roller-blade? You can! Maybe get involved in some sports activities? Yes, you can do that, too. From beach volleyball, basketball to soccer, paintball and all sorts of fun sporty activities \u2013 just take a pick! Plenty of things to do, no matter how interactive or calming you want them to be.<\/span><\/p>\n

Topcider Park<\/a><\/h2>\n

Topcider park is a lovely, historical forest park filled with beautiful spots for relaxation and picnics. <\/span><\/p>\n

Suited near the Ada Ciganlija, it was once a palace park of the prince Milo\u0161 Obrenovi\u0107. Here, you\u2019ll find his Royal Residence, built in the 1831, in Ottoman style, as well as one of the oldest Platanus tree, the Top\u010dider London Planes that was planted in 1834.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kosutnjak Hill<\/a><\/h2>\n

Once you finish your tour of Topcider park, you can head off to nearby Kosutnjak Hill. <\/span><\/p>\n

Both a forest and a park, filled with lots of outdoor activities. Here you can either rest and enjoy the colourful nature – after all, it is called Belgrade\u2019s oxygen factory \ud83d\ude42 – or you can take a shot playing sports in the sports and recreation centre \u201cPioneer City\u201d with the kids. And, when you get tired, take a rest and some refreshments at the Aleksandar Club restaurant<\/a>. You\u2019ll also get to enjoy the stunning view of the city.<\/span><\/p>\n

Zemunski Quay<\/a><\/h2>\n

Another significant landmark you shouldn\u2019t miss while staying in Belgrade is Zemunski quay, located along the right side of Danube River, in one of the oldest parts of Belgrade, Zemun. Filled with cafes and restaurants along longshore, this is a popular place for family walks, dining, and playing. Not to mention, kids can enjoy and have fun feeding the swans.<\/span><\/p>\n
