We are two weeks away from WordCamp Europe! That means there\u00a0are two weeks left for final preparations, and we wanted to share as much of the information you will need as possible. Have a question that hasn’t been\u00a0answered yet? Well, read on \u2013 you might find it in the text that follows.<\/p>\n
First things first. Tomorrow is the last day to grab your (regular) ticket<\/a> for WordCamp Europe for only\u00a0\u20ac40<\/strong>. In June you will still have the opportunity to get your micro sponsor ticket for \u20ac150<\/strong>. This is the first time we decided to end ticket sales before we sell out and our\u00a0reasons for\u00a0doing that are\u00a0explained here<\/a>.<\/p>\n To continue with the previous year’s tradition, and to help those travelling with kids,\u00a0we are organising childcare<\/strong>. There will be room for up to 25 kids<\/strong>, and we didn’t sell out yet \u2013 but you have to register<\/a> in advance if you want to leave your kids with us while you explore the conference.<\/p>\n We published all the speakers<\/a> almost a month ago, and you can look at the schedule<\/a> to search for your favourite talks. Opposite to last year, this year we will have two tracks only<\/strong> and much more time between the talks<\/strong> \u2013 so you can network with other attendees<\/a>.<\/p>\n Contributor Day has sold out. No more space, sorry! But if you have registered, we prepared an article<\/a> with all the relevant information you’ll need to know<\/strong> (such as\u00a0the rooms you can find each Contributor Team in). Also, don’t forget to check the Contributor Day schedule<\/a>\u00a0for details on the talks and workshops \u2013 we will have some great content there too!<\/p>\n One important announcement for all of you planning to start your local WordPress Meetup \u2013 during Contributor day there will be an orientation group<\/a> to help you kick start your local community<\/strong> in a friendly and supporting atmosphere.<\/p>\n For the third time, WordCamp Europe will have\u00a0ten Tribe Meetups and three Speed Networking sessions<\/a>. While speed networking is a great opportunity to grow your network<\/strong>, tribe meetups are informal gatherings of people with similar interests<\/strong>. We’ll provide the space, and you can talk with others. Don’t forget to tell us you’re coming by filling in\u00a0this form<\/a> (so that we can get an idea of how many people plan to attend).<\/p>\n We have a separate page<\/a>\u00a0on our site containing\u00a0information for our attendees. It includes links to\u00a0some more details about the afterparty<\/a>, transportation<\/a>, a list of hotels<\/a>, how to get mobile coverage<\/a> while in France, information about venue accessibility<\/a>, and the inclusivity<\/a> of the event.
