As of today, we will start to announce WordCamp Europe speakers in small, thematic groups every couple of days. So, without further ado \u2013 we present the first group of speakers to you: Yoav Farhi, Rian Rietveld, Adrian Roselli, Pirate Dunbar, and Julka Grodel.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Yoav Farhi \u2013 Right to left language support &#8211; the right way!<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/2017.europe.wordcamp.org\/speaker\/yoav-farhi\/\">Yoav<\/a> is coming from Automattic where he works as an (try to spell it!) I\u00f1t\u00ebrn\u00e2ti\u00f4n\u00e0liz\u00e6ti\u00f8n\u00ebr :). He\u00a0works with everything related to internationalisation (or i18n for short) and localisation (or l10n for short). He&#8217;s contributed to WordPress for the past eight years. In his lightning talk &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/2017.europe.wordcamp.org\/session\/right-to-left-languages-support-the-right-way\/\">Right to left languages support \u2013 the right way!<\/a>&#8221; he will explain the basics of RTL support and demonstrate how to use automated tools to simplify the process.<\/p>\n<h2>Rian Rietveld \u2013 Accessibility in the age of the headless CMS<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/2017.europe.wordcamp.org\/speaker\/rian-rietveld\/\">Rian<\/a> is part of the WordPress Accessibility Team and a WordPress engineer who specialises in web accessibility, currently working at Human Made. With the REST API being part of the WordPress core, we have new challenges ahead of us. In her talk &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/2017.europe.wordcamp.org\/session\/accessibility-in-the-age-of-the-headless-cms\/\">Accessibility in the age of the headless CMS<\/a>&#8220;, Rian will give you an overview of the pitfalls and provide some\u00a0possible solutions for good website accessibility in the age of the headless CMS.<\/p>\n<h2>Adrian Roselli \u2013 Selfish Accessibility<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/2017.europe.wordcamp.org\/speaker\/adrian-roselli\/\">Adrian<\/a> is a member of the W3C Web Platform Working Group, W3C Accessible Rich Internet Applications Working Group, and W3C Accessibility Task Force. Developing for the Web since 1993, he has written articles for trade journals, websites, and participated as an author and editor of five web-related books. In his talk &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/2017.europe.wordcamp.org\/session\/selfish-accessibility\/\">Selfish Accessibility<\/a>&#8221; he will talk about fundamentals of accessibility, simple testing techniques, essential features and enhancements, coming trends, and where to get help.<\/p>\n<h2>Pirate Dunbar \u2013 Reacting natively with WordPress<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/2017.europe.wordcamp.org\/speaker\/pirate-dunbar\/\">Pirate (Ptah) Dunbar<\/a> is a self-taught digital architect, internationally renowned speaker, educator and serial entrepreneur with over a decade experience creating software and contributing to open source. In his technical talk &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/2017.europe.wordcamp.org\/session\/reacting-natively-with-wordpress\/\">Reacting natively with WordPress<\/a>&#8220;, he will walk you through an example mobile app that allows conference attendees to view and rate sessions and leave optional feedback for speakers. You will dive into what it takes to build a custom react native mobile app that connects to a WordPress powered backend via the REST API.<\/p>\n<h2>Julka Grodel \u2013 Is your code ready for PHP7?<\/h2>\n<p>As a Senior Software Engineer at AddThis who\u00a0has been working with CMSs for over 10 years, <a href=\"http:\/\/2017.europe.wordcamp.org\/speaker\/julka-grodel\/\">Julka<\/a> spends most of her time on open source projects that integrate AddThis tools for various CMSs and JavaScript frameworks. She is the primary developer on AddThis&#8217;s WordPress plugins.
