We are happy to announce our final speaker, a dear guest and a good friend to WordCamp Europe – Matt Mullenweg, co-founder of WordPress. During his session on Saturday starting at 3 pm, Matt will be interviewed by Om Malik, founder of Gigaom. After the 30 minute interview, we will have 20 minutes for Q&A. With this final announcement, we are also happy to release the full speaker schedule for the upcoming WordCamp Europe 2017.
This year we have lots of news regarding schedule. After last year, where we had three tracks and many great talks, we decided to try a different approach this year. We will have two tracks: 26 long talks and 16 lighting talks. Talks cover a broad range of topics – from design and development to accessibility, business and community. Our content team has had a tough job choosing talks as they had to go through more than 300 talk submissions, with many good talks not making the cut.
In the end, we believe you will love the topics we have chosen.
With fewer talks, we are giving people more time to mingle and connect with each other – something that a lot of you asked in the previous years. Also, after each long talk, you will have 20 minutes to change tracks or to talk to other WordCamp Europe attendees or sponsors.
So, without further ado, take a look at the final schedule. As of today, more than 2100 people have already bought their ticket and if you haven’t, now is as good time as any. If you purchase your ticket today, you will not only get every goodie we have prepared, but you will also receive an email from our friendly robot Pierre sometime next week (with further information about WordCamp Europe). Wondering who is Pierre? Our friends from Torquemag wrote about him.
See you in Paris 🙂
