We are doing things a little different this year, as we are announcing an official call for photographers.
In the previous years we recruited photographers from the volunteers pool. This year we decided to up the game and make a separate application available for photographers who want to document what will be the largest WordPress conference to date.
WordPress is not only about code and poetry, it is also about community, bringing people together and learning from each other. A WordCamp embodies this like no other event and to make it memorable, we need your help. We want you to bring your unique vision and your photography skills to Paris in June.
It is your chance to be part of one of the biggest tech/web conferences in the world and document it with your camera. You’ll meet a lot of interesting people along the way and gather lots of experience while working with a group of likeminded individuals.
As all the other roles at WordCamp Europe, photography will be volunteer based, so there is no remuneration. But of course it ensures a free ticket and an invitation to the volunteers’ dinner. (See all the perks of being a volunteer.)
To give you an overview of what we expect from you as an official WCEU photographer, we have prepared this document.
If you are interested in bringing your eyes and your gear to Paris this June, fill out this survey.
Interested in documenting WordCamp Europe on video?
BTW: If you are a videographer and are interested in documenting WordCamp Europe on video, feel free to use the same form to apply!
The call for photographers will be open until 23:59 UTC on March 31, 2017.
Thank you!
Hi there!
Are there any replies sent out even if rejected?
Hi Valentin!
Yes, everyone will get a reply next week.
Haven’t sent out anything yet, waiting for the call to close tomorrow.
Oh, good, thanks!
