The volunteer application form is now closed, and we are delighted to announce that we got more than a hundred volunteers signed up. Woohoo!<\/p>\n

As we have already let you know in the emails: “We appreciate your commitment to the event at such an early stage.”<\/p>\n

WordCamp Europe 2016 volunteer demographics<\/h3>\n

From\u00a0more than a 130 applications, we got volunteers from 33 countries across the globe\u00a0with the United States, Germany, The Netherlands, Italy and Romania<\/strong> leading in numbers.<\/p>\n

It makes us really happy to see familiar names in the volunteers registration form – people who have helped in Leiden, Sofia and Seville. It makes us even happier to see how many new people would like to help out.<\/p>\n

We’ve always believed that volunteering is the first step into eventually joining the WordCamp Europe organising team and hosting WordCamp Europe in your city. We know the next WCEU local team will have some of our 2016 volunteers in it!<\/p>\n
