Volunteers will be on the ground, meeting attendees, helping out with speakers and helping to make sure that the fourth\u00a0WordCamp Europe is even better than the last one. We are looking for people who are enthusiastic, organised, energetic, and who love WordPress.<\/p>\n<h3>As a volunteer at WordCamp Europe, you will:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Get an inside look at the planning stages of the conference<\/li>\n<li>Be an essential part of the event on the day<\/li>\n<li>Spend quality time with the WordCamp Europe organising committee<\/li>\n<li>Have the opportunity to meet speakers from all over the world<\/li>\n<li>Be on the ground, meeting WordCamp attendees from all over the world<\/li>\n<li>Attend a volunteers\u2019 dinner<\/li>\n<li>Receive an Exclusive, volunteer-only t-shirt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Note: if you would like to hold WordCamp Europe in your city next year, we strongly recommend that you volunteer at WordCamp Europe 2016. This will help you to understand how the event runs so that you can pull it off in the future.<\/p>\n<h3>What Do We Need Help With?<\/h3>\n<p>We need people to help out beforehand with general administration, and volunteers on the ground, on the day \u2013 expect to be both exhausted and exhilarated by Saturday evening! Tasks that you may find yourself doing include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Processing registration<\/li>\n<li>Putting together swag bags<\/li>\n<li>Handing out t-shirts<\/li>\n<li>Helping out at lunch time<\/li>\n<li>Helping speakers<\/li>\n<li>Running around with microphones during Q&amp;A sessions<\/li>\n<li>Moving people around<\/li>\n<li>General administration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Will You Pay for My Expenses?<\/h3>\n<p>We are unable to cover expenses for volunteers, which means that if you want to get involved, you will need to cover the costs of travelling to and staying in Vienna.<\/p>\n<p>Volunteering at WordCamp Europe is a unique way to contribute to and support the event. It comes with certain perks. If you\u2019re employed, why not see if you can persuade your boss to send you. We\u2019ve put together some pretty compelling reasons to help you convince them.<\/p>\n<p>Remember that if you volunteer, or are sending an employee to volunteer, you must meet the WordCamp Central guidance for volunteers.<\/p>\n<h3>What Should I Expect?<\/h3>\n<p>Once you are accepted as a volunteer at WordCamp Europe, you\u2019ll be added to the volunteer team and depending on your skills, you\u2019ll be assigned various tasks to carry out before the event and on the day.<\/p>\n<p>Volunteers are expected to arrive in Vienna on Thursday (June, 23th) by noon. The whole team will meet to go through the running of the conference, and you\u2019ll visit the venue and the after-party location, and familiarise yourself with the locale. In the afternoon, you\u2019ll help with setting up the event. That evening we\u2019ll have a little get-together organised. We won\u2019t stay up too late, though, as the event will start early the next morning.<\/p>\n<p>On the day, you\u2019ll be carrying out your assigned tasks, working as part of a team that we hope will run like clockwork.<\/p>\n<p>We ask volunteers to stay at least until Saturday (June 25th) evening. You are more than welcome to participate and help for the Contributor day on Sunday too, should you wish so.<\/p>\n<h3>Great! How do I sign up?<\/h3>\n<p>Volunteers application form is closed.
