Only 3 Weeks Until Speaker Registration Closes!

We’re closing speaker applications on 1st July, that means you only have 3 weeks left to get your presentation proposal in. If you want to speak at WordCamp Europe and you haven’t applied yet, now’s the time to start thinking about what you’re going to send in.

WordCamp Europe is a big event with around 900 attendees across two rooms, and we’re looking for really exciting presentations to keep all of those people happy over the two days. If you want some feedback on your presentation before making the final pitch, we’re happy for you to drop us an email.

Here are some past topics and titles from across the world that we think would be a great fit for WordCamp Europe:

We Need Your Help

Volunteers are the backbone of any WordCamp – they’re the people that make sure everything is set up in advance, and that everything runs smoothly on the day. Currently, the WordCamp Europe team is 8 people, but we need many more the ensure that the WordCamp is the best that it can possibly be.

That’s why we need your help! We need with administration before the event, and with practically running the event in Leiden. We’re looking for people with skill in all sorts of areas: running microphones around, processing registration, doing administration, helping out with speakers and sponsors, and generally spreading joy and happiness.

If you’d like to help out, you can learn more on our volunteer page. There’s a survey at the bottom of the page where you can fill in your details and let us know that you’d like to help.

New Website and Speaker Application Open!

Welcome to the brand spanking new WordCamp Europe website. Designed and built by our own Tammie Lister, keep an eye on it to see it evolve over time.

We’re very excited to launch the website at the same time as we open the speaker applications. If you want to speak at WordCamp Europe, now’s the time to put your thinking cap on and start to agonize over what you want to talk about to your peers from all over the continent. WordCamp Europe is going to be a huge stage. We only have two tracks per day planned, and over 900 attendees. That means that you’ll be speaking to hundreds of people. Think hard about what you want to say and how you want to say it.

We can’t wait to see what you come up with. See you in Leiden!
